પાલઘર, સોનિયામૈયા અને અર્નબ ગોસ્વામી : સૌરભ શાહ

(આજનો તંત્રીલેખ: ગુરુવાર, ૨૩ એપ્રિલ ૨૦૨૦)

પાલઘરમાં સાધુઓની હત્યાથી સંતોષ ન થયો એટલે નીડર અને સ્વતંત્ર પત્રકારત્વના પ્રહરી અર્નબ ગોસ્વામી તથા એમનાં પત્ની પર બુધવારની રાતના બાર વાગ્યા પછી હુમલો કરવામાં આવ્યો. અર્નબ ગોસ્વામીનો વાંક શું? એમણે પોતાની ‘રિપબ્લિક’ ચેનલ પર સોનિયા ગાંધીની ચૂપકીદીને ચેલેન્જ કરતાં કહ્યું કે પાલઘરમાં સાધુઓને બદલે પાદરીઓ કે મૌલવીઓની હત્યા થઈ હોત તો તેઓ અત્યાર સુધી ચૂપ રહ્યાં હોત? કોંગ્રેસીઓ ભડકી ગયા. છાતી કૂટવા લાગ્યા: હાય, હાય, અમારી સોનિયા મૈયાની ટીકા કરી, બાપ રે! કોંગ્રેસીઓનું આ ગુલામમાનસ એમને ભવિષ્યમાં ક્યારેય વિશ્વાસપાત્ર રાજકારણી નહીં બનાવે.

રાજસ્થાનના કૉન્ગ્રેસી મુખ્યમંત્રી અશોક ગેહલોતે તો જાહેરમાં માગણી કરી દીધી કે સાંસદ રાજીવ ચંદ્રશેખરે ‘રિપબ્લિક’માંથી અર્નબ ગોસ્વામીને કાઢી મૂકવા જોઈએ. ઇંદિરા ગાંધીના જમાનાથી કોંગ્રેસીઓ આ માનસિકતાથી પીડાય છે. કોઈ પત્રકારે અનકમ્ફર્ટેબલ વાત કરી તો એના છાપાના માલિકને કહીને પેલાને નોકરીમાં કઢાવો. ઇન્દિરા-રાજીવ-સોનિયા આવું જ કરતાં આવ્યા છે. ફ્રીડમ ઓફ પ્રેસનાં ગુણગાન ગાતી અને મોદીની અસહિષ્ણુતાના નામે છાજિયાં લેતી અવોર્ડ વાપસી ગેન્ગને કોંગ્રેસની આવી નીતિરીતિ સામે કોઈ વાંધો નથી હોતો. આજેય તેઓ ગેહલોતના આવા બેજવાબદાર વિધાન બદલ કશું કશું નહીં બોલે.

મઝાની વાત એ છે કે ‘રિપબ્લિક’માંથી જો કોઈ અર્નબને કાઢી મૂકી શકે એમ હોય તો તે એકમાત્ર અર્નબ પોતે જ છે. રાજીવ ચંદ્રશેખર પાસેથી અર્નબે મેજોરિટી શેર્સ પાછા ખરીદી લીધા છે. દરેક પત્રકાર પર એ જેમની નોકરી કરે છે તે છાપા-ટીવી ચેનલ ઇત્યાદિના માલિકની તલવાર તોળાતી જ હોય છે. આને કારણે તેઓએ માલિકના જીહજૂરિયા બની જવું પડતું હોય છે. અર્નબ ગોસ્વામી જેવા બહુ ઓછા પત્રકાર હોવાના જેઓ પોતે જ પોતાના માલિક હોય.

સોનિયા ગાંધી મોદીને ‘મોતના સોદાગર’ જેવા અત્યંત ગલીચ શબ્દો કહે તેનાથી જે બિકાઉ પત્રકારોના પેટનું પાણીય નહોતું હાલતું તે પત્રકારો આજે અર્નબ ગોસ્વામી સામે બંદૂક તાણીને બેસી ગયા છે. ‘એડિટર્સ ગિલ્ડ’ના સ્વામી શેખર ગુપ્તાના પાલઘર ઇશ્યુ માટેના સ્ટાન્સને લઈને અર્નબ ગોસ્વામીએ, વસૂકી ગયેલા તંત્રી-ભૂતપૂર્વ તંત્રીઓના આ ચેતનરહિત સંગઠનમાંથી, રાજીનામું આપી દીધું છે.

જો તમારી યાદદાસ્ત સારી હશે તો તમને ૧૯૯૯માં ઓડિશાના આદિવાસી વિસ્તારોમાં સ્થાનિક પ્રજાને ફોસલાવી-પટાવીને ધર્માંતરણનું કામ વિશાળ પાયે ચલાવતા ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયન પાદરી ગ્રેહામ સ્ટેન્સની હત્યાનો બનાવ યાદ હશે. સોનિયા ગાંધી સહિતના કૉંગ્રેસી, સામ્યવાદી તેમજ સેક્યુલર-લિબરલ નેતાઓ તથા એમનાં તળિયાં ચાટતાં પ્રિન્ટ મિડિયાના તંત્રીઓએ આખો દેશ એ વખતે માથે લીધો હતો. આ વખતે પાદરીની નહીં, સાધુઓની હત્યા થઈ છે. આ સૌ ચૂપ છે. એમની ચૂપકીદીને અર્નબ ગોસ્વામીએ ખુલ્લેઆમ પડકારી. સોનિયામૈયાને આ ન ગમ્યું. ગઈકાલે મધરાત પછી અર્નબ અને એમનાં પત્ની મુંબઈમાં લોઅર પરેલ સ્થિત ‘રિપબ્લિક’ સ્ટુડિયોથી નીકળીને પોતાના ઘરે પહોંચી રહ્યા હતા ત્યારે કૉંગ્રેસી ગુંડાઓએ એમના પર હુમલો કર્યો. કોના ઈશારે? કોણે ઉશ્કેરણી કરી? સ્પષ્ટ છે.

મુંબઈના પોલીસ કમિશ્નર રહી ચૂકેલા અને અત્યારે મોદીના પ્રધાનમંડળમાં રાજ્ય કક્ષાના પાણીમંત્રી તરીકે ગંગાના શુદ્ધિકરણની જવાબદારી સંભાળતા સત્યપાલ સિંહ એક જમાનામાં પાલઘર ઇલાકાના ઇન્ચાર્જ હતા. એમણે કહ્યું છે કે આ આદિવાસી વિસ્તારમાં ગુનાખોરી નહિવત છે પણ ધર્માંતરણ કરાવનારા મિશનરીઓની પ્રવૃત્તિ પૂરજોશમાં ચાલે છે. પાલઘરની પોલીસે પકડેલા ૧૦૧ આરોપીઓમાંથી કોઈ મુસ્લિમ નથી એવી શેખી મારનારાઓ કહેતા નથી કે આ ૧૦૧માં ખ્રિસ્તીઓ કેટલા છે.

હિંદુ-મુસ્લિમ સમસ્યા શું ઓછી હતી કે કૉંગ્રેસીઓની રાજમાતા હિંદુ-ખ્રિસ્તી સમસ્યાને ભડકાવી રહી છે? અર્નબ ગોસ્વામીનું એક્સપ્રેશન ઊછીનું લઈને કહીએ તો; ઇન્ડિયા વોન્ટ્સ ટુ નો.

      Can’t you see and treat any crime as just crime and nothing beyond that. Punish the culprit/criminal as per prevailing law what is the need to highlight a religion of criminals in ever crime, isn’t it a sick mentality to gain free advertising, earn cheap footage in media and increase TRP.     I find this article without facts and figures. Many questions go unanswered in this article based on facts of the case. Your article seems narration of a story and neither News nor critical analysis of incident. However, you may kindly apprise me if you have ever raised any voice against murder of many journos from 2014 onwards as mentioned in my tweets replied to you. You never raised voice upon ruthless killings of journos and yet become vociferous spraying of Ink of this man.

  35. આ લેખથી એવી છાપ પડે છે કે સાધુઓની હત્યામાં કોંગ્રેસનો હાથ છે, જે મારી જાણ મુજબ સાચું નથી. હિન્દુ મુસ્લિમ અને હિન્દુ ખ્રિસ્તી તો આ તંત્રી જ કરતા હોય એવું લાગે છે નહિ તો 101માં કેટલા ખ્રિસ્તી હતા એ મુદ્દો ઉઠાવવાની ક્યાં જરૂર હતી? પાદરી, અખલાક કે સાધુ – લિંચિંગ થાય એ કાયદો વ્યવસ્થા માટે શરમ જનક છે.
